To mark the 85th anniversary of the German invasion of the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, the museum is once again presenting the exhibition 1941. June Letters – Unread Field Post from Kamianets-Podilskyi, which was developed in 2016 in collaboration with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv.
The exhibition focuses on the final emptying of the postbox at the Kamianets-Podilskyi post office. Due to the outbreak of war, the letters were never delivered. Confiscated by the German occupation authorities, they ended up as spoils of war at the Postal Museum in Vienna. Following their return to Ukraine, this unique collection is now housed at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv.
