The exhibition Rift through Europe looks at the immediate consequences that the conclusion of the Hitler-Stalin Pact had for the countries of Eastern Central Europe. With its focus not only on the history of the event but also on remembrance, it provides access to the debates on the perception of the history of the Second World War in Europe. It contributes to the understanding of different positions and shows how important it is to deal with the history of East Central Europe in order to understand the European conflicts of the present.
