Das Motto des diesjährigen Tags des offenen Denkmals lautet Wahr-Zeichen. Zeitzeugen der Geschichte.
Das Museum Berlin-Karlshorst ist der Ort des Kriegsendes in Europa 1945. Die Nachkriegszeit und die Jahrzehnte danach prägten ebenfalls die Geschichte des Ortes. Vielfältige historische Zeichen und Spuren im Museum selbst sowie in dessen Umgebung können von der sowjetischen Präsenz in Karlshorst bis in die 90er Jahre erzählen – sind somit „Wahr-Zeichen“ und „Zeitzeugen“.
Anlässlich beleuchtet das Museum die sowjetische Geschichte der Nachbarschaft und lädt Besucher:innen dazu ein, verschiedene dieser Wahr-Zeichen zu entdecken.

To mark the 85th anniversary of the signing of the Hitler-Stalin Pact, the Museum Berlin-Karlshorst is opening the special exhibition Rift through Europe. The Consequences of the Hitler-Stalin Pact.
It takes a look at the immediate consequences that the conclusion of the Hitler-Stalin Pact had for the states of Eastern Central Europe. With its focus not only on the history of the event but also on memory, it provides access to the debates on the perception of the history of the Second World War in Europe.
