The ‘Great Patriotic War’ remains to this day a central point of reference in the memory of the Second World War across the post-Soviet space. However, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, diverse and, in some cases, conflicting cultures of remembrance have developed. What role does the Soviet war myth play today in Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania? Prof. Dr Gelinada Grinchenko, Prof. Dr Violeta Davoliūtė and Prof. Dr Jan C. Behrends will discuss this.
In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Germany.
The event will be simultaneously interpreted in German and English.

Jeden 2. Sonntag im Monat um 15 Uhr findet ein öffentlicher Stadtteilrundgang durch Karlshorst statt.
Der Rundgang führt an die ehemaligen Standorte geheimer und militärischer Einrichtungen an Zwieseler Straße, Arberstraße, Bodenmaiser Weg und an der Köpenicker Allee.
