At the historical place of the unconditional surrender of the German Wehrmacht at the 8 May 1945 in Berlin-Karlshorst rembering two former war opponents together the history. As the only one museum in Germany we remember in a permanent exhibition the war of annihilation against the Soviet Union.
We see our task in providing spaces for a critical debate with the history and memory, for education and encounter and for understanding especially between people, who live nowadays in Germany, Europe and in the countries of the former Soviet Union.
